SIGNWRITING OPTIONS AND CHOICES -
| In producing a sign there are many things to consider. The following is a list of the categories under which are the various elements of any sign - Size, Colour, Content, Colour, Font, Graphics etc... and price of course!

| 1 | Size of the sign (Extents of a sign)... | |
| How big is the board (substrate) onto which the vinyl is to be applied? A substrate can be a sheet of suitably painted plywood, or the side of a car, truck, caravan or boat. It could also be a shop window, the perspex (acrylic) face of an illuminated sign, an in-store or point of sale sign, and even one of those monument-like signs erected in the forecourt of a large outlet, office block or corporate headquarters. The applications are many and as varied as the kinds of businesses that require signage.
Enter the width and height of the sign's extents.

| 2 | Size of the lettering... | |
| This is related also with the size of your sign. Sometimes, a particular size of lettering is needed to maximise visibility from a distance, notwithstanding the sign board's extents, making it necessary for a larger board, or extra lines... Other than height, facias are sometimes very long, so larger, fatter (heavier), or extended (wide) lettering can be used.
If known (or not critical) enter the size of lettering. This is measured by determining the height of the capital letters of the content.

| 3 | Content... What you wish to say... | |
| More often than not, you will not know how many letters or words will fit into the extents of your sign board. Whatever is known of the above, enter under this heading the wording that you require for your sign.
In subsequent email correspondence, I will reveal how much space is required, having done a rough layout using your content, using the font (lettering style) of your choice, and if it's doubtful, an alternative layout or size of lettering will be suggested. Enter the content (Copy) of your sign. This is case sensitive - your use of capital letters and lower case lettering will be read literally, and the vinyl cut accordingly. Make sure that any special spelling is entered as you wish it to appear. So be sure that you do not have any mistakes in your typing. (Use

| 4 | Font (Lettering Style)... | |
| From thousands of fonts available, for simplicity I have selected a list of those that are commonly used on signs, and these I illustrate under this category. There are, of course, many others in my library, and any of these are available on request.
Fonts are arranged in 'families' - GOTHIC, ROMAN, and Cursive Many of these come in four styles - NORMAL, BOLD, ITALIC, BOLD ITALIC. All can be produced as REGULAR, or in MIRROR IMAGE (Reverse cut for application to the inside surface of windows). Enter the name of the font of your choice, its style and if regular or 'mirror image'.

| 5 | Colour of lettering... | |
| A list of available colours in vinyl held in stock is given. This includes metallic colours - Gold and Silver, and shiny gold.
Enter the colour required. If a different colour is required for each line, word or even individual letters, enter the main colour required - details of other colour options can be sorted out through the emailing, that will follow your initial submission.

| 6 | Graphics | |
| Any picture can be submitted as a JPEG file. These are small files and can be emailed easily. You can send a pic of the sign you require, an existing sign as an example to illustrate what you require, or of a graphic image which can be original art or of clip-art origin. (Copyright free), or approved design (if you are a franchise or own the design).
(Please note that Perfect Characters (operator of Apply Your Own Vinyl Sign) will not accept liability for any copyright issues that may arise from any graphics submitted). "A graphic file will be submitted later, as an attachment to an email". Check the tick box for this if intended.

| 7 | Other Options | |
| There are some other options also available, mostly for enhancements and visual effects. Please feel free to make enquiry about these.

| 8 | Pricing | |
| A list is included showing prices based on the height of Capital letters. This applies to most fonts. However a few fonts attract a higher price based on the overall size of the letters. Microgramma is an example of this. | ||
